How Does It Work?
The cost of your window spraying will vary depending on factors such as window size, condition, and accessibility. In some cases, we may need to use scaffolding or cherry pickers to ensure the job is completed to the highest standard. Once we’ve assessed your project and confirmed the pricing, we’ll schedule a date for your spray.

Preparation & Planning.
Before our team arrives, we carefully mix your chosen paint to ensure it is perfectly suited for your windows. We’ll also prepare for any additional requirements, such as
scaffolding or cherry pickers for hard-to-reach windows.

Removal of Old Silicone.
On the day of the job, we begin by removing all existing silicone around the windows. This step is essential, as silicone can prevent paint from bonding properly. Without this removal, the silicone could shrink and crack over time, leaving the finish looking untidy.

Surface Prep.
If required, we may add extra packing or foam to windows that were poorly installed to ensure no disturbances occur during the spraying process. We also remove window sashes to ensure we can reach all areas, particularly the edges around the window. After this, we fully mask the window opening to protect the interior from any overspray.

Cleaning &
Sanding.
We then clean and scrub the surfaces to remove any dirt, dust, or grime that may have accumulated over time. This is a crucial step as any remaining dirt could be sanded into the UPVC. We then sand the UPVC with a fine grit to create a smooth surface that allows the paint to adhere properly.

Masking &
Tack Cloth.
To ensure an even finish, we use a tack cloth to wipe down all surfaces and remove even the finest dust particles. We then proceed to mask all the glass and surrounding areas to prevent any overspray.

Spraying &
Finishing.
We take great pride in using industry-leading equipment to achieve a controlled, flat finish with minimal overspray. We apply three coats of high-quality exterior paint. For brown UPVC, we apply an additional fourth coat for a flawless result. Our Selemix Direct Topcoat is specially formulated for exterior use, and we enhance it with Selemix 9-080 Acrylic Hardener. This combination ensures a fast-drying, highly durable, and corrosion-resistant finish—perfectly suited for the UK's unpredictable weather.

Final Touches
Once the spraying is complete, we allow the windows to dry to a touch-dry state. Then, we apply the new silicone, tinted to match the window colour, ensuring a pristine and professional finish.
